Bears Draft

Wow. That's all I can really say. I have to give credit where credit is due. Ryan Pace knew his job was on the line and he drafted as well as anyone could have. Everyone knew the Bears would take a quarterback in this draft, but it wasn't clear where they would do it. Ultimately they ended up with the dream scenario by not having to trade up into the top 10 but still getting their guy. Not only did they get their guy in terms of the quarterback position but also in the offensive line. Early projections of the draft had the Bears taking an offensive tackle with their 20th pick. While they clearly didn't stay at 20 they were still able to get the same offensive tackle later on with the 39th pick.

Overall, I cant state how proud I am of the entire Bears organization. Obviously, there is no guarantee that these picks turn out to be good pros but they at least tried to put their team in the best position possible to succeed. Going into this draft the biggest needs for the team were quarterback and offensive line and they got a lot better at both. Good job by the Bears organization to bring their fans some excitement and positivity for the first time this offseason.
